Payment Instructions

These instructions apply only if you are making payments directly to the locations listed below. If you are submitting items via a GIA LabDirect consolidator, please contact the appropriate office for instructions.

U.S. Laboratories Payment Instructions

Please include your account number and appropriate invoice reference(s) with any payment. If you do not have an active account with the GIA Laboratory, payment must be made in full before reports will be returned.

Methods of Payment – all payments must be in US Dollars

1. Checks drawn on a US bank
2. Cashier's check/money order drawn on a US bank
3. International Money Order drawn on a US bank
4. Wire transfer direct to GIA’s bank account

Please note that banks charge up to USD $30 in wire transfer fees, and that this fee may be automatically deducted by the issuing bank or financial institution before the wire amount reaches GIA. Payments for invoices and statements not received by the due date are subject to late charges applied at an 18% Annual Percentage Rate. There will be a $15 charge on all returned checks.

South Africa Laboratory Payment Instructions

Please include your account number and appropriate invoice reference(s) with any payment. If you do not have an active account with the GIA Laboratory, payment must be made in full before reports will be returned.

Methods of Payment – all payments in South African Rand

1. Checks drawn on a South African bank
2. Cashier's check/money order drawn on a South African bank
3. International Money Order drawn on a South African bank
4. Wire transfer direct to GIA’s bank account

Please note that banks charge up to ZAR 250 in wire transfer fees, and that this fee may be automatically deducted by the issuing bank or financial institution before the wire amount reaches GIA. Please call or email the South Africa Lab for the appropriate account and routing numbers.

India Laboratory Payment Instructions
Please include your account number and appropriate invoice reference(s) with any payment. If you do not have an active account with the GIA Laboratory, payment must be made in full before reports will be returned.

Methods of Payment – all payments in Indian Rupee

1. Checks drawn on an Indian bank
2. Cashier's check/money order drawn on an Indian bank
3. International Money Order drawn on an Indian bank
4. Wire transfer direct to GIA’s bank account
