Johnson Named ACCSCTSchool Commissioner
Volume 16-Issue 3-Summer 2007

By Emily Stegman

Susan Johnson, GIA's director of Education Administration, has been elected to the position of School Commissioner for the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). Her term began July 1.

"Susan's extensive experience in our sector of education and obvious dedication to quality will make her a wonderful addition to the commission. We certainly welcome her and wish her success," said ACCSCT Executive Director Elise Scanlon.

Over her 31-year tenure with GIA, Johnson has managed the Extension Division (now Lab classes), directed Alumni Association development and served as dean of students. She is heavily involved in the Institute's accreditation, compliance and licensure procedures.
