President and Chief Executive Officer of Hearts on Fire
"Hearts On Fire Company supports GIA as part of our company's philanthropic mission. By taking such a leadership position, we hope to establish and maintain clear guidelines for ethical standards in our industry. We support the excellence of GIA in both continuing education and research programs."
As president and chief executive officer, Glenn Rothman directs and supervises all aspects of business management, new product development and operations for Hearts On Fire, an international company based in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in the development, branding and marketing of polished diamonds. Rothman founded Hearts On Fire in the fall of 1996, and over the years has successfully led the industry in a paradigm shift to branded diamonds.
In creating Hearts on Fire, Rothman designed a comprehensive strategic marketing campaign comprising several elements, among them in-depth sales training including the successful Hearts On Fire University; sales incentives; public relations; and an extensive support program consisting of consumer videos, print and broadcast advertising, marketing collateral materials, consumer packaging, as well as Internet and Intranet systems. These strategic marketing initiatives in large part contributed to the position Hearts On Fire holds today as the world's fastest growing diamond company.
Rothman and Hearts On Fire have been profiled and featured in major stories in leading national print and broadcast media including CNNfn-TV, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Nation's Business, as well as Bride's, Modern Bride, Glamour and other top fashion magazines.
Rothman's career in the diamond industry spans several decades and has earned him a solid reputation as a branding and marketing strategist. Prior to launching Hearts On Fire, he served as chief executive officer for Di-Star Ltd., a diamond importer and distributor, which he started with his wife, Susan, in 1978.
Rothman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University's Business School. He currently serves as chairman for the Lenny Fund, a Boston-based public charity that awards grants to worthy community causes.
